 Welcome to Our Church...

On Wednesday, September 6, 1956, a meeting was held for the purpose of organizing a new church.

Central Baptist Church was born and established February 3, 1957.

On Sunday February 21, 1971 at 5:30 P.M. a tornado struck Little Yazoo. The church was destroyed and some lives were taken.

On March 14, 1971 in a special business meeting the church members voted to begin rebuilding. The church was rebuilt and dedicated later in the same year.

The Lord has established the Central Baptist Church and has provided for her these past 63 plus years.

Many people received salvation, comfort, encouragement, strength, as well as a challenge to be supportive of the church and her mission.

We not only thank God for the past 63 plus years, we ask for His leadership for the years to come. Then, we commit ourselves anew to the fulfilling of His purpose.

Central Baptist Church is a place of worship, fellowship with a purpose of sharing love and Christ to Yazoo County as well as to the world.
