A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

We love keeping people in the loop and informed. 

Let me welcome you to our website. We have twenty-four active Southern Baptist Churches in the Yazoo County Baptist Association. If you live in the Yazoo County area, we have a church close to your home. You are welcome in any of our churches: meeting times vary but each church meets on Sunday mornings.

 

As Associational Missions Director I am available to assist each church as a resource person and as a consultant. I work closely with the Mississippi Convention Board and I try to stay informed with the most current information that they share. I am available to preach or give reports in each church or I can recommend a preacher when a church needs a fill in preacher. I will be visiting in all our churches in the future. If I can assist you in anyway, please contact me by using the contact information provided on this website.

INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

Our mission is evangelizing, discipling and planting reproducing churches among all peoples in fulfillment of the Great Commission. And, our vision is a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation, knowing and worshipping our Lord, Jesus Christ.

NORTH AMERICAN MISSIONS

The North American Mission Board embraces the vision that Christ spoke in Acts 1:8 that …you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. The missions entity strives to fulfill the Lord’s expectation that a global missions strategy begins with a strong home base that will expand to the global arena. NAMB is the Southern Baptist entity empowered to assist churches to reach North America for Christ.

WOMAN'S MISSIONARY UNION

Woman’s Missionary Union challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. The objectives of WMU reflect a biblical understanding of missions and provide a holistic approach to missions awareness and participation.

MISSISSIPPI BAPTIST CONVENTION BOARD

The responsibilities of the Convention Board fall into three natural divisions. One division is Business Services – the funds that are received and distributed to Kingdom causes are handled following Biblical guidelines of Christian stewardship and absolute fiscal responsibility. The second division, Church Growth, oversees those areas of church ministries that strengthen, equip, and enable the church and its functions. The third division, Mission Strategy, is entrusted with the responsibility of the work beyond just the walls and doors of the church. Our mission is to reach the world across Mississippi, the nation, and the uttermost parts of the earth.with us!

EIGHT DAYS OF HOPE

We are a Christian, non-profit organization that is both evangelical and non denominational. We exist to demonstrate the love and hope of Jesus Christ by serving those in need.

 

Our commitment to local communities is to work with local churches and organizations in meeting physical and spiritual needs.

 

Our commitment to donors is to use the resources they have given to the fullest potential for the greatest good among those in need.

 

Our commitment to volunteers is to provide them an opportunity to use their skills and talents to the Glory of God.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to show God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

 

Since 1990, more than 168 million children in over 160 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child.
